Delta Machinery makes the best fences around. The Unifence has been made for several years. The original one had a round fence and was OK. The later one use a rectangular cross section front bar and was considerably better. It used a very reliable fence setting mechanism and a really novel fence for maximum versatility of the saw. The fence mounts upright for doing work with taller pieces of wood, or down flat for use with thin piece you are ripping. In addition, the design of the fence allows you to move the fence forwards or backwards relative to the blade.
This is a 33 1/2" length Fence for the later Unifence. The one with the rectangular cross section.
Someone before me made a bevel cut into a sacrificial fence, and unfortunatel;y went too far and nicked the fence. You can see it in the second picture. However, the fence is still straight as an arrow.... The nicks are about 3/64 deep or less.
Uses: Yes, if you have a Unifence, you have one of these already. But what about using the Unifence on your Router table? It is incredibly accurate, easy to lock into position, and for the small price of this item, would give your fence and fence locking arm real duplicate service and you would have a second fence for dual settings.
These are very expensive new. This one is in EXC + shape other than the saw kerf marks.
