New CES Hand Microphones with DTMF
This is a great tech special. Here's the story:
This CES mic was originally designed for the Ericsson MDX EDACS Radio. This particular mic is a special...the main control board has logic missing because we added a piggyback board with our own logic to expand DTMF features for the MDX mobile. So the control board would be good for parts only.
The PTT, Entire Front Cap & DTMF Keypad, microphone cartridge, and the back half with the mic hangup are valuable parts that if you had to purchase from CES would be costly. So if your managing a fleet of mobiles that are using the CES mic, you might seriously want to consider having a few of these available for parts. When you add it all up it's a deal for those who need it. If your not sure, purchase one for your personal evaluation to determine if it will meet you needs...if it does, you've just found a way to support the CES mics within your system. I was able to determine that it was CES by disecting the front DTMF keypad and CES markings are on the DTMF PC board.
