Very rare! Terrific collectible. If you are a collector of rare vintage ICs, you have got to have this one!
New old stock DIP (NOS IC) in antistatic tube or antistatic foam. This is an incredibly rare and useful CMOS IC that is very difficult to find anywhere. With the CMOS 4059 precision frequency divider, you can divide a frequency by ANY NUMBER between 3 and 15,999! The output pulse is the width of the clock pulse and equal to the input pulse rate divided by "N", which you easily program into the device. Applications include communications digital frequency synthesizers for VHF, UHF, AM, FM, etc., fixed frequency divisions, programmable on-the-fly frequency divisions, time-out applications (e.g. industrial controls), hour-minute-second clock circuits, and long-term timers.
