Precision Lower English Wheel Cradle/Yoke:
These are available in three sizes, 1 Inch, 2 Inch and 3 Inch.
We're proud of All of Our Products and Our Quality is Second to none.
* These are 3 Piece Cradles with the attaching Flat Head screws hidden on the Bottom Plate.
* The sides are Doweled with 3/16ths pins to set Perfect Location and attached with ¼-20 screws.
* We've set the Opening at 3.005 to 3.01 to keep you Anvils from having excessive side to side play.
* Notice the Sides Are relieved, contact is only made on the Anvils Inner Bearing Race.
* We've made this Cradle adjustable with four ¼-20 Ball Nose Set Screws in it's Base.
* We Included a 3/8-16 Flat Head Screw to Attach it to your Machine.
Adjustability is Extremely Important and should be Designed into your Machines Frame. What we've done here is make Our Lower Cradles your Adjustment. The four Set Screws in the Base are used to raise or lower the side of the Cradle they are in.
If your running "True Radius" Anvils which WE DO NOT MAKE then Adjustability does not matter. True Radius Anvils are the worst Anvils made. The reason is because all of your Machines Pressure is focused on the contact area where your Wheels touch. Full Radius Anvils leave pinch marks no matter how good you are at Wheeling. Original English Wheeling Machines were mass produced utilizing a Cast Frame, in todays Economy that is very Expensive. Those mass produced Cast English Wheeling Machines were made by the Edwards Company, Every One of those Machines had Anvils with Contacts except for the tightest radius Anvil. The tightest Anvil was cut this way to reach the highest crown possible.
All of my Machines all have these Yokes on them and they Perform Flawlessly.
