Quickly check crystals and most crystal filters in less than a second. That box of crystals on your bench - how many are good, what frequency are they? The Quick-Check will tell you in a jiffy. The CCR-1 was designed to help technicians in the pager business. Crystals are the single most common failure in pagers (or, for that matter, in any portable radio product!) and replacement crystals are also the most expensive part, too. Checking the crystal before replacement would save time as well as money - let’s see, $3 per crystal and most shops replace 70-100 per week, that pays for the CCR-1 in less than a week! Testing is easy, just plug an unknown crystal in to the clever test strip and a green LED goes on and it beeps if good. Connects directly to a frequency counter or the Missing Link™ Pager Test Set to directly display the crystal’s fundamental resonant frequency! Easy to check if the crystal is improperly labeled. Runs on an internal 9 volt battery or a 120 volt AC adapter.
This device has not been used in a few years but it is functional. It came from someone that used to do radio repair and has been sitting around since he passed away. I do not have any manuals for this equipment but I did call Ramsey Electronics and they told me these are still available. The item includes what you see in the picture I don't know anything else about this unit.
