Beacon medical 25 hp dynamic vacuum pump
Reitschle model SMV500-05 turbine type vacuum pump, serial number 2003146X, 25 HP, 230/460 Volt motor. Rated 330 CFM, pulled down to 26 in. Hg. when we tested it. Noise level 86 dB(A) per manufacturer's literature. This pump was removed from active service in a hospital December 2007. It was part of a duplex Beacon Medical Products surgical vacuum system, system model LPV-250-C240 and was in good running order.
This is a dry pump, no oil, no water. Exhaust runs hot, probably 180 Deg. F. Only routine maintenance is greasing bearings and replacing coupler inserts.
