Weldmark® E71T-GS is basically the same as the carbon steel wires, only that you do not need a shielding gas to weld with. It is extremely beneficial for outdoor welding. The operator appeal, bead appearance, and spatter is not equal to ER70S6, but the benefits of not having to use gas make this product extremely popular.
DESCRIPTIONWeldmark® E71T-GS is a self-shielding all position flux core wire for single pass applications. It is excellent for use on the thing gauges of galvanized and mild steels. Travel speed is high and weld edges are smooth. The use of DC straight polarity welding current minimized the risks of burn through.
APPLICATIONWeldmark® E71T-GS is excellent for use on lap and fillet welds on thin gauge glavanized and mild steel in all welding positions.
