Mks hps 2-stage kf-40 NW40 high vacuum valve
This is an HPS/MKS stainless steel, right angle, KF-40, two stage, "soft start" high vacuum valve. It is in very nice condition.

This is a two-stage valve, essentially two valves in parallel in one compact package. The low-conductance (in this case, a variable one) bypass can be used to carry out a "soft" initial chamber pumpdown with reduced turbulent flow, and the main valve can then be opened for full conductance once an appropriate pressure has been obtained. This functionality is desirable for processes sensitive to particulates.
The pneumatic port for actuating the main cylinder is 1/8" NPT-F. The pneumatic port for actuating the low-conductance bypass is 10-32 UNF with a boss for an o-ring seal. This is a standard port for which push-to-connect tubing adapters can be purchased, but an adapter is included, as shown, that fits this detail and provides an 1/8" NPT-F port.
