Both each have a battery; 1 has a shoulder strap
The batteries are dead so we have no way to test them or actually even know how ... :-)

It charges 3 batteries ... well, maybe ...
When we plugged it in with 3 batteries, 1 of the 3 slot lights did not come on. We replaced it with one of the other batteries and it still did not come on.

The ends have 4 pins on the end and the top of the pistol grip has an activation push switch
