In October 1971 the Occupational Safety and Health Act
(O.S.H.A.) was passed requiring companies of 2 or more employees
to own and maintain a first aid treatment system (i.e., a first aid kit)
approved by a consulting physician. To help in meeting the O.S.H.A.
requirements, have your doctor assist in choosing an adequate first
aid kit, make sure people at work know how to use the products
inside, and keep records that the kit has been inventoried regularly.
