I am selling this as a collectable item . There is no guarantee that this will work because of the unknown age . The item came from an estate. The can has some soiling and staining and the upper metal lid has rust on it.
Model RK-2 3/4 For use only in General model CP 2 3/4 Pressurized Dry Chemical Extinguisher
1903 Harry W. Huthsing founded the National Belting & Hose Co.
1905 This in turn became the General Manufacturing Co.
1926 The business focused on building fire apparatus mounted on commerical truck chassis. the business changed it's name to The General Fire Truck Corp.
1936 The company moved to Detroit
1937 A west coast subsidiary was established in Los Angeles called General-Pacific Corp.
1942 The company changed it's name to General Detroit Corp.
1950 Fire extinguishers and hose apparatus were now the main product line.
1956 The last General fire truck left the Detroit plant.
1957 The company changed it's name to General Fire Extinguisher Corp.
