An air line is required to operate the air cylinder which is
actuated by a hand switch to lower the ram into the melted plastic in the heated charge holder.
There is a 0-200 PSI gauge mounted to the top of the air cylinder.
The charge holder has a rated capacity of 1 ounce. The heated charge holder appears to made of
aluminum. The three heating elements put out 1000 watts. The charge funnel in some photos has
been removed so you can see the electric heater elements. I received this machine with the two
wires disconected from the heating elements. I think the 2 wires went to a temperature adjustment
pot. When connected the the wires supply constant power to the heating elements, which in time
will cause the charge to get too hot.
These wires should be connected to a temperature controller of some sort with a thermocouple
There is also an adjustable screw drive clamp to hold the mold under the injection port.
I heated the unit up and drove out the old plastic that was in the heater block. Then I wiped out
as much of the old residue plastic as I could. Machine appears to have it's original paint.
If you pickup the machine at my home I will give you the bottom part of the stand with the electrical switch box and airline after I remove an air pump.
