The Clean Water Products CWP 100 with a 200-Gallon Storage Tank
This unit is the Clean Water Products CWP 100.
The Clean Water Products CWP 100 with a 200-gallon storage tank and a Walrus smart pump is a unique, patented, affordable whole-home reverse osmosis system. This system is designed for your home or business to work on poor quality water. It will handle water up to 10,000 parts per million of total dissolved solids (TDS).
Developed by hydrologist C. Brent Cluff, PhD, the CWP 100 produces water at the rate of 2,000 to 2,500 gallons per day and pressurizes your entire home or business and allows you to have bottled quality water from every faucet. If you need twice as much water, for $800, you can turn the CWP 100 into a CWP 200. The unit installs easily outside the house, in the basement in the garage or business. You can have your plumber put in a "softening loop" or do it yourself. The "Walrus Smart Pump attached to the top of the tank, is an on-demand pump that senses water flow and starts automatically when a faucet or appliance is turned on. A pressure tank is not needed.
Dr. Cluff's CWP 100 RO system uses a 3/4 horsepower pump to supply pressurized water through a 4" by 40" RO membrane at 160 PSI. The CWP100 removes hardness, salt, bacteria, viruses, fluoride, arsenic, nitrates, pesticides, herbicides and other undesirable water contaminants such as man made carcinogen's. The contaminants are concentrated in the reject water and sent to the sewer or used for irrigation . The amount of "reject" water produced is adjustable, depending on the quality of the incoming water.
The unit includes a "pump-up" switch that activates the CWP 100 available in either 110 or 220 volt. When the water level goes down, the pump-up switch activates the CWP 100 and fills the 200 gallon tank with purified water until full again.
The CWP 100 uses no chemicals. No salt is needed. It is always less expensive to operate than a water softener. The only maintenance for un-chlorinated water is the replacement of a standard 5-micron sediment filter in four to six months. If chlorine is present in the feed water, it is removed with a activated charcoal pre-filter which would also have to be changed every 4 to 6 months.
These filters are available nationwide from any major vendor of water purification. Washing of the membrane is done using the pump on the CWP 100 by circulating the detergent using a 5-gallon bucket full of water and a combination of special detergent for a 20-minute "bio-wash". Acid with a pH about the same as vinegar can also be used that cleanses the RO membrane of calcium scaling. This washing may be performed once a year or when necessary. The CWP is built with piping large enough to accommodate this washing without taking the unit apart. Washing, if needed, is very simple to do and we provide detailed instructions.
The CWP unit includes a 1-year warranty on all parts, plus a 2-year replacement guarantee on the Smart Pump.
