This is from a Graphic recorder. Is weight driven from within the recorder itself.
Note; photos are a similiar unit. Dial diameter is 4" case 4.25"
Made by Chelsea in Boston. This will not run on its own, as there is no power. They were weight driven, the weight being in the recorder part which we do not have.
This one will need a cleaning, the staff is good on the platform and it runs when pressure is applied to the back arm.
I have taken these and attached a Chain wheel from a Grandfather movement to the back arbor, then use a small weight like a cuckoo weight and chain to run it. I can provide photo's if your interested. I have one running on my wall as I write.
